VINTAGE VARISPEED

At the heart of Tape Double Track is its Varispeed function: your main source for enhancing the double-tracking effect. You can easily alter modulation, change the pitch and speed of your recording, and visualize delay in real time between channels as the sound moves back and forth, emulating the vintage ADT tape-stretching technique.

CHANNEL CONTROL

Take full command of your sound with independent control over source and double-tracked channels. Adjust pan, drive, mute, phase, and level for each track individually. Whether you're looking to add gentle saturation or a bold doubled effect that cuts through your mix, Tape Double Track lets you craft your sound with precision.

LOW-END OPTIONS

Keep your mixes tight and balanced. Dedicated Bass Mono and Solo Bass modes allow you to control the low end independently, keeping it centered while letting the upper harmonics shine. The result is a full, professional-grade mix.

Tape Double Track is designed to support VST2 and VST3 plugin hosts as well as full support for MPC standalone and desktop systems running version 3.5 (or later). This software requires an internet connection for authorization. You will need to install Akai's MPC desktop software version 3.6 or higher to use desktop versions of the plugins.
